Taste had a honor of attending the ZAP Festival in San Francisco on January 23 and 25! On the 23rd we attended Epicurious a Food and Zinfandel experience. WOW!!! The new venue at the Presidio, the flow of the rooms and the caliber of wine and food combinations were off the charts!! Chef Mark was busy serving a chorizo and garbanzo salad with carrot chips. This dish was paired with Terra d’ Oro Deaver Vineyard Zinfandel. The 130+ year old Vines produce a powerhouse Zinfandel.
On the 25th, Taste co-owner, Tracey was a presenter at the Terroir Event and spoke about the Sierra Foothills. The back drop of the Golden Gate Bridge and hundred of sailboats in the bay was quite beautiful.
